Switchback @ Chalfonte Theatre

Switchback will return to The Platform at the Chalfonte Theatre during Memorial Day weekend with an evening of original Americana and Celtic music on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with the performance featuring two lively 45-minute sets.

The concert marks the duo’s spring return to Elk Rapids following their popular holiday appearances and continues their long-standing relationship with the community. Led by Brian FitzGerald and Martin McCormack, Switchback is known for blending traditional Celtic roots with Americana and bluegrass influences, paired with close harmonies, acoustic instrumentation, and storytelling drawn from decades of touring in the United States and Ireland.

Switchback’s performances in Elk Rapids have consistently drawn strong attendance, and their return to The Platform reflects the growing role of the Chalfonte Theatre as a home for live music and cultural programming. The Platform is curated by the nonprofit Chalfonte Foundation and supports year-round performances by regional, national, and international artists.
